We had several conversations about what the name of the town means, and googling it doesn't give a very definite answer.
"Meeting place" or "near by."
Who knows; but Meeteetse was Neat-teetse.

They pretty much slept in their clothes after the Cody Rodeo, then put on shoes and were ready to go again the next day.

Give me a break, my feet were cold so I put on dorky socks.
