Today we went to a nearby ranching town to go to our friend's 91st birthday party.
NINETY ONE YEARS OLD!
His brother was there and he is in his 80s.  Shawn and I were wondering what the secret to their longevity is, and we joked that it was stability and bacon for breakfast.  Bill has lived in the same valley, and on the same ranch his whole life (except for military service) and told us that as a young man he planted saplings outside his kitchen window.  Those trees are now huge cottonwoods.  What must it be like to live in one place forever?
I won't ever know.  I have never lived for more than 9 years in one place (PA), and just when I thought Lincoln was going to be my home forever (8 years), we found out
we are moving to Wyoming.
What a thrill, adventure, and whirlwind we are about to embark on.  It is going to be sad to leave, but I know we will be happy in our new home.

Two inspiring quotes for me to think about....

“All great changes are preceded by chaos.” -Deepak Chopra
“Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.” –Jim Rohn

Two goofballs who are going to ensure chaos and comic relief in the next month...

Photos from our Family Visits

When Mom and Dad were here we did so many fun things.  We drove around a lot to see different places and visit people.  There were so many photos I will just put a few on here.
On our way to Great Falls for the day

Tyler picked the bison's nose.

What a bunch of "Grands"

We made Cake Pops for Jessica's (belated) birthday.
Guess whose were a masterpiece and whose were blobs with sprinkles on them?

A Baby Gets Baptized

Today we had Cash's baptism, and my mom and dad and sister were able to attend.

He never cried!  The warm water must have been soothing, and the Pastor's arms must have been steady.  He had the children come up to watch the event.

It was a great service, and we all had a wonderful day today.

Cinna-bunnies

I made these at the 11th hour last night for Tyler's Easter party at daycare.
Cinnamon roll dough, and then I cut and twisted them into bunny shapes.
Next time I will use sprinkles for eyes instead of chocolate chips!

Tough Times

You may not believe it, but Cash is not always an easy baby.  He is very fussy, and wants to watch Tyler all the time, and prefers to be held.  Add to that the fact that he is an erratic sleeper and napper, and you have a baby with his own agenda.
Lately (for the last month!) he has been sleeping irregularly at night, and we've been going nuts trying to solve the problem, and get him on track.  This morning I checked his gums again, and he has sprouted a tooth.  21 weeks old and teething!  The average tooth-time is 7-8 months.  Guess we are lucky and are getting the drama out of the way early....?
So most days I am overly tired, and so is Shawn.  Tyler's the only one getting enough time in dreamland.  This, too, shall pass.

Cranky boy hates wearing hats, but I guess he forgot to complain once we were outside.

Still have snowpiles in the yard.  These are very icy and are taking forever to melt!

Snow in the back yard.  My garden is still mucky and not melted off.
