Skate On

We went to the local (free) ice rink yesterday, because we knew there were going to be some friends and kids there.  Cash slept in the truck the whole time, while Shawn and Tyler practiced their turns.

Outside Life

Better get your bellies full....

....because we're headed outside!

We went mucking around with Shawn, looking for pheasants, geese, ducks, etc.
While it was no episode of "Duck Dynasty" (meaning, nothing was killed although we did see quite a few ducks and other songbirds!), we enjoyed it.

We got our vitamin D for the day.

Holiday Things

Creepy Elves made in the 1950s, at the local Bank.

What -20 does to your horse waterer

Owl I am making for Tyler.  I have a flax insert for it, now I just have to finish it!

Joy the Baker's homemade marshmallows.  Unfortunately addicting.

Kids Crafty Creative Christmas

The Hospital held a kids' event today, so we decided to brave the -10 degree air and go to it.
As always, lots of fun!

Terrific Turkey Day

Wowza!  We at at "Teton Pines Country Club" for our Thanksgiving Dinner.
They had a giant buffet with some really tasty dishes.

We got there early and the staff said we could wait in the lobby.

Shawn took a photo of his plate.  Needless to say we were fairly full after this meal.

Why we loved our vacation

Beer and lunch at the Snake River brewery (Aunt Marie we got you some coasters!)

Super cool stores and buildings

Waiting around at the town square lighting

Very blurry shot of right after we counted down and the lights came on, and Santa was pulled by sled dogs down the pathway!

SOOO exciting!  So fun that I didn't even get a good photo!

Teton Toys.  A giant toystore that had lots of things for kiddos to play with.  We were in here about an hour!

It was just the break and vacation we needed--fun and family and swimming and snow and trees and stores and nobody cried!  (Haha just kidding, there were a few meltdown tantrums).
