How to say goodbye

Daycare/Preschool had a going away party for Tyler.
These are the only friends he has ever known and they all get along so well.
He and his buds started the party by running through the sprinklers, then taking a break on the playset.
Then, it was sherbert and brownie time!
Finally, we got them all to line up and get a photo.
These amazing kids will never all be there at the same time or look the same again.
We are so sad to leave them, but the memories have been great and we can plan to  visit when we can.

Today is the last normal day we will spend in our house.
The moving truck comes early tomorrow morning.  Ready or Not!  (I think we're ready)
My poppies finally "popped" and they are stunning!
In the background, Cash is shoving a dandelion flower into his mouth.  It's his favorite outdoor snack.

This little one is making two little knee shuffles at a time now, and he'll be fully crawling soon.
(Dandelion residue on the lips....)

"Look Grandma H!  I have my Libby shirt on, and it is almost too small already!"

Windy Hike

It was supposed to storm, but instead was just really windy.
We took advantage of the sunshine and went outside for hike.

The wildflowers and mountains were so pretty, it all took our breath away.

A Tee-Ball game....and my birthday

Tyler had to practice a few times before he hit the ball.  He has his own way of holding the bat.

But boy can his little legs fly when running to first base!

On our hike we found some snow.
Decker was happy about it; he's about the only one in the family who wishes it would snow all year long.

A Trip to the City

I say "City" but it is really just Missoula, which is a small city/big town.
We had to make a stop at the Farmer's Market, because that is just what you do when you go to Missoula.
It was vibrant with interesting people and beautiful plants.

Yummy dinner downtown.  The beer was cold and the food good.  Both boys fell asleep before the meal was over, giving me a break for a little while.
Back at the hotel, they surprised me with an early birthday cake!
 So pretty--thanks Jess and Jason!
Raspberry and lemon and buttercream frosting, oh my!
 Even Cash ate some.
He doesn't keep his figure by just eating applesauce.
In the morning we went out for breakfast, and Jason and ordered lattes.
You can't beat a beautiful coffee on a rainy day in Missoula.

Picnic by a Pond

Pre-School Party

Another year of pre-school is over, and some of Tyler's friends "graduated" to go on to kindergarten.  They had a program and party for the family members.
only Tyler wanted to "dress up" and wear shorts

Makena, Tyler, Roegun
After the program we had a barbecue and the kids ran around in the play yard.
We were a little sad to think that Tyler will be leaving all his great little friends when we finally move, but with his personality he will have no problem meeting new ones.

Happy Birthday Hunny-Bunny

Yesterday was Shawn's birthday.
He is now what I call "over the hill" but he said that is not until he turns 50.

Whatever he is, he will always be older than me!
Hope his wish comes true.
