I made it!!!

It only took a couple of hours, and I made this darling "Sweet Pea Pilot Cap." It is a little small for Tyler's giant head so I might make another and make it larger. He likes wearing it, too!

A baby shower!

Last weekend, (after I cleaned up my dinner party mess) I headed to Lolo for my pal Chris' baby shower. It was a great spring day and I had a great time.

There were about 25 ladies there, and each and every one of them had to touch and feel each baby gift opened. Lots of oooohs, aaahhhs, and how cute's!


Yep, Chris got a lot of loot, and I got to eat a lot of cake :)

My Dinner Party

On Saturday night I had a dinner party. It was to celebrate the first day of Spring. I made everything we ate, and all the ingredients were from somewhere in the state of Montana. It wasn't as hard as I thought, but if I do it again in the summer it will be much easier!

I had high expectations for myself, and wanted everything to be perfect.

Some exciting things..

In a few weeks we will have a new baby in our family--we've confirmed that Blondie is pregnant! We won't keep the foal--someone else has already claimed it, but I am excited to watch this happen.

I also saw this idea on the website http://this-inspired-life.blogspot.com/ I will have to try it with some of our eggs. I do have seeds in trays, but this is an interesting way to growing new life.

There are so many neat blogs out there with gorgeous spring pictures. It makes me crave daffodils and tulips, but I know they are a few weeks away. To usher in Spring, we are having a "Celebrate Spring with a Made in Montana" themed dinner party. I'm making everything from food made or grown in MT. It will be a lot of work--wish me luck!

A Sunny Sunday

We spend so much time outside when it is sunny, and it is great that Tyler's able to be out there enjoying the fresh air with us.

He and Shawn were cleaning up some snow, there are just big piles left throughout the yard.

Desert Botanical Museum

We visited the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix. Allen Houser sculptures were on display, as were some Chihuly glass sculptures. It was a great day and the gardens were amazing!
